I've missed this...

Ahhh... to hold a Copic in my hand and just color!  I've missed this.  The smell of adhesive (LOL) and the miscellaneous sparkle when you touch wet Stickles, then touch something else.  I've missed this.  Most of all I've missed that sense of peace and calm that crafting brings to my life.

Having said that... It's Challenge time at Brown Sugar Challenge Blog!!  The theme this week is Bunnies! Thanks to QKR Stampede for sponsoring us!!

Here's my creation for this week!

Copics Used:
W5, W3, W1, R00, Y13, Y08, Y06, BV34

Decided to keep it CAS.  I'm not really a big fan of yellow, but I wanted something that was bright and cheery considering the BLAH mood I've been in for so long.  My little Bunny is popped up but at this angle you can't see it.  (Laptops and digi cams never work when you need theme to, so thanks Kim!!)
My other Teamies did an awesome job with their cards, so check them out here.

Happy Crafting!

On this day....

Today I decided it's time to come back to the craft world!

We all go through things in life and sometimes it is best to just take a step back, which is what I did.  With the exception of 4 Christmas cards that I made the Wednesday before Christmas... I hadn't touched a craft supply.  No shopping! No Copics! Nothing.

So much has happened since my last post....

  • Chandler played on 2 football teams and competed on the Central Junior High Cross Country Team!!  As always I am so very proud of him.
  • We've moved to a new place! (YAY!!!)  The new place is really nice, but it feels a little empty.
  • On December 4, 2012, our beloved Babineaux passed away.  I'm not going to go into the details here, but it was so sad.  Now two months later I still miss her dearly.
  • Last weekend I attended my first ever scrapbook retreat and had a blast!  I'll post pictures soon.  I actually completed 10 pages plus 2 that need finishing touches. GO Me!!
  • Now, I'm only designing for Brown Sugar Challenge Blog.
  • The Robert Jackson Design Team changed it's structure and no longer focuses on Robert's Art.  You can check out those talented ladies at 613 Avenue Create.
  • It's a new year which brings forth new and exciting adventures.
Stay Tuned... there IS more to come!

There Comes A Time....

Over the past few months, I just haven't really felt like crafting.  Keeping up with my blog has been more of a chore than a joy which is something I've never wanted to happen.  I don't know what's causing me to feel this way... Maybe I've lost my mojo... OR Maybe I've reached my crafting peak... IDK...

Whatever it is, I've decided to take a break from the blogging world.  After typing that... I've run out of thoughts and  I kinda don't know what else to say.

Keep on visiting Brown Sugar Challenge Blog and Jackson's Digital Expressions!
I'm sure you'll see me there sometimes!

Take care and Happy Crafting.

It's ALL about Robert Jackson...

Happy Friday Everybody!!

This week's challenge over at Brown Sugar Challenge Blog is being sponsored by ROBERT JACKSON!!! And the theme is SUNDAY BEST, so we used images from his Come Sunday Collection.
Here's what I came up with:

Image: The Mothers

I remember being a little girl in church on Sundays and I always loved the BIG hats that so many of the ladies wore.  One day, I'm going to get one of those hats with the matching suite and shoes! Until then... I'll just ooohhh and ahhhh over the images Robert creates!

It felt really good to sit down and color.  I guess I forgotten how therapeutic coloring is.  Enjoy!

Happy Creating...

It's 1:50 AM

Yep, I couldn't sleep so I decided to log on the PC and thought... Instead of playing Cityville, why not BLOG!  Whoo hooo.... I actually created a card but you'll have to wait until tomorrow to see it.
Until then... Here are some random things I've created over the past few weeks/months and never got around to posting:

A la Mode Stamp Set
Card I made for a lady that I work with.  At the time she didn't know if it was a boy or girl.
Since then she's had a little girl!

Stamp: Daisy
Elisabeth Bell
Birthday Card for the Team Mom of Chandler's Football Team

I must confess:
I love, LOVE this stamp!!!
Little known fact... I saw this stamp colored at a scrapbook store and fell in love with her, then once the lady explained it was a stamp that had been colored with Copics... COPICS??? Yep I was hooked.  Only thing... the stamp was SOLD OUT.  A few years later and across the ocean on another continent, I found her!!

Guess I better get some sleep.

Good Night!
