Getting Sassy...

Just a quickie today...

It's about 12 degrees hotter than you know where here today, so here's my little hot creation to go along with temperature!

Sentiment:
"Plant a seed of friendship... reap a bouquet of happiness."
-- Lois L. Kaufman

It was created using the image Charlotte Sassy from Sassy Studio Designs.  They are celebrating reaching 700 followers and have TONS of fun things planned and going on.

I colored her with Copics and paper pieced her dress.  YEP, saved coloring time!!!  :~)

Enjoy!

Center Stage...

Hey Y'all... (NO... not everyone in Texas says that!) <~~ LOL
It does sound cute and goes along perfectly with the card I finished earlier.  Every time I read that sentiment, I crack up!!  (Disclaimer: This card is NOT for a male relative!!)

Inside Reads:  You know... Any man can be a Father,
but it takes an "Extra Special" man to be a Daddy.
Happy Father's Day!
I'm so proud of myself. Every element of this card came from {my stash}.  I'm trying to use stuff I've had for awhile.  Like the card base is from a card pack, the navy card stock (bottom layer) is something I got from Michael's. Believe it or not, it's embossed with ivy leaves or something.  The ribbon and bling is "new" compared to the other stuff.

Okay something I've decided to work on is "staging" my cards and creations.  Most of my pics are the same, white background or whatever I can find that hides the mess on my craft table.  Either the cards is standing/leaning as above or flat like this.

As you all have noticed I am NOT a photographer!  There are times when I take about 20 pictures of the same card and NONE of them look worth a poop.  I'm really good at detail shots.  (I mean, how hard is it to take a close-up then crop that???)  It's easy-peasy... See... Look at that star!!
Copics Used:
Skin/Hair - E25, E13, E11, E21 & E79, E18, E18, E17
Boots/Hat/Outfit - C9, C7, C5, C3, B99, B97, B95, B91 & N0 (gloves)
Misc Colors: C1, E99, R37, YR23
Maybe I should take a few minutes and read the owner's manual for my camera and learn about all those buttons & features.  {Nah.... I'll pass}  Creative Staging... my mission for the next a future blog post.  Speaking of blog posts... Check out this NEW awesome blog called Brown Sugar Challenge.  They are having a DESIGN TEAM CALL.  You know you want to apply!

Colors, Colors, Colors....

Hey My Crafty Friends!

Hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend and you're enjoying the beginning of another month in 2012.  Can you believe it's already JUNE???  Christmas will be here before we know it!  This past weekend was the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Arlington, Texas.  OMG... that was my first time attending and I had a B-L-A-S-T!!!!  Met up with some scrapbook friends from online, cropped and shopped.  Okay really, I didn't crop much and didn't shop much either but hanging out was beyond fun!  Here's one of my latest greatest card creations using one of Robert Jackson's fabulous images.

My inspiration for this card came from Color Team "A", over at Jackson’s Digital Expressions.  I’m the Hostess with The Mostest!!  (don't think that's really a word but it sounds cute!)  Check out the handpicked color combo for this week's Challenge.

Hope you to play along with us!  Get creative & join the fun!
As always, we’re making it easy on you for this challenge because it’s “Anything Goes”!  Yep…  Anything Goes! (Don’t you just love those 2 words?!?!

The Super Fabulous DT came up with some creative inspiration.  You can see them here.

Happy Creating!
